Top 4 Tiger Leaping Gorge ( Shangri-La )

Tiger Leaping Gorge is around 60 kilometers away from Lijiang City, with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain at east and Haba Snow Mountain at west. It is believed to be the deepest gorge in the world, dividing into upper, middle and lower sections. The narrowest part of the gorge was just 30 meter, which is so narrow that a tiger can only can jump over the gorge, hence the name.

Except getting a wonder view from Tiger Leaping Gorge, some of tourists prefer to hike along the gorge and can visit some local Naxi People’s family and stay overnight at some halfway lodge. The best hiking time is either in spring or autumn, because the weather is pleasant and the the number of trekkers is still low.
