Zhonggulou-Yandaixie Street-Shichahai 

Yinding Bridge near Shichahai

 Start from Dianmenwai North Street and probably a visit to Zhonggu Tower, through the 200 metres’ Hutong and cross Yinding Bridge to get to Shichahai Hutong.

Location: Dongcheng District

Highlights: local snacks, bars, unique architecture, Lakes, former residence of royal families and government officials.

 

Xijiaomin Hutong-Dazhalan- Zhushikou-Liulichang

Start from Tiananmen Sq, head west through Xijiaomin Hutong,ride southward through Dazhalan and arrive in Liulichang

  Location: Xicheng District 

  Highlights: Catholic Church, Huguang Guild Hall, antiques, calligraphies, traditional Chinese calligraphic stationery  and colorful snacks, former sites of major financial institutes.

Juer Hutong-South luogu Valley

Start from east Juer Hutong(South Jiaodaokou Street), go westward to get to South luogu Alley where blocks of Hutongs are located.

Donghuamen-Nanchizi-Pudisi Alley-Dengshikou-Fuqiang Hutong

Siheyuan Frontage

Start from Forbidden City east; head east through Pudusi Alley, then north to get to Fuqiang Hutong, Dongchang Hutong, Hongfu temple, Dongsi, Neiwubu St and Lumicang Hutong.

Location: Dongcheng District

Highlights: former aristocrats’ residence, Chinese architectures
