1. Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival

The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival is usually known as Harbin Ice Lantern Festival or simply called Harbin Ice Carving Festival. The Festival has been held since 1963, and nowadays it is listed as one of the top 4 Ice and Snow Festival in the world.

Traditionally, the festival open from the mid-December to the late February. And the official opening ceremony usually held on Jan. 5th each year. The festival mainly consists of the snow sculptures show and the Ice & Snow World in the Sun Island, ice activities on the Songhua River, Ice Lantern Show in the Zhaolin Park; and others: international ice sculptures competitions, ice lantern show, sliding, ice-sailing, sledging, ice hockey, ice football and so on.

1. Tickets: tourist need buy different tickets to enter different parks of the Festival.
2. Before 15:30pm, tourists can get a discount ticket to enter the Zhaolin Park, but it is not the best time to see the ice lanterns. After 17:50pm, it is the best time, but there is no any discount.
3. The trail operation of 2015 Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture is around Dec.25th, 2014. The official opening ceremony to the public is on Jan.5th, 2015.

2. Ice and Snow World

Harbin Ice and Snow World is one of the most important parts of Harbin Ice Carving Festival. It is located at the west part of the Sun Island, Songbei District, Harbin. In this dreamlike theme park, tourist can not only see the amazing colorful illuminated ice and snow sculptures, but also enjoy various interesting cultural activities and winter sports.

3. Northeast Tiger Park

Northeast Tiger Park, also named Siberian Tiger Park, is considered the one and only place in the world to see the purebred and scarce Siberian tiger, one of the world’s top 10 endangered animals.
In the park, tourists can feed the the tigers with meat, even take photos with them, under the protection of tour cars or jeeps caging tourists from the fierce animals. Sometimes, when the car stop in the park, the time will jump up t the top of the car. This will be an adventurous experience in your lifetime.

4. Yabuli Ski Resort

Yabuli Ski Resort, also named Yabuli Windmills Mountain Resort, is the the oldest resort in China and has the longest ski run in the country. Yabuli Ski Resort is composed of several ski grounds. Among them, there are 3 well-known ski grounds: Sun Mountain Ski Resort, Yabulin Ski Resort ( same name as the official one for the whold area ) and Auaunce Ski Resort.

Yabuli hosted the 1996 Winter Asian Games, the 2008 National Winter Games and the 2009 Winter Universiade. At present, there are 12 runs, which are 30 kilometers long and three two-person chair lifts. Tourists can try different runs on top of San Guokui Peak.

In the Yabuli areas, there resort hotels, villas, retail and ski rental shops, souvenir stores, a youth hostel and snack bar. The architecture gives tourists a feel that it is comfortable and sturdily elegant as the finest mountain village with all of the modern efficiency.

1. The snow conditions at Yabuli are excellent and the ski season lasts as long as 150 days. The best time is November, December, January, February and March.
2. The average temperature of Yabuli is -10℃ all year around. In the winter, it may reach to -44℃. Please keep warm when travel Yabuli Ski Resort.

4. The resort is located at southeastern of Heilongjiang province, about 230km away from Harbin downtown.

Jihua Ski Resort, also known as Jihua Changshou Mountain Ski Resort. The resort has 15 different ski slopes, which in total cover a distance of 30 km, catering for beginner, medium and advanced-level skiers. There is a ski school, which offers professional ski train for more than 100 persons. The resort area gets heavy snowfall, with about 150 days of snow every year. It can receive 5,000 people at the same time. It is an ideal place for cross-country skiing.
